HCE was approached by Biovac to build their new Freezer Farm building. This green field project included Demolition of a heritage building, re-zoning of existing Erf, Council plan approval process, Relocation of a Diesel Storage tank, Site Entrance Upgrade, Construction of a 1,200m2 two level building with upper level for offices and lower level for the freezer farm. The upper level included lobby, private offices, meeting rooms, canteen and a plant room for the AHU for the lower-level temperature and humidity control as well as Compressed Air. The ground floor was designed to cater for 130 Ultra Low Temperature Freezers these freezers are to be used to freezer and store the Covid 19 vaccine at -70 deg C. The project required the installation of Bulk liquid Nitrogen for the dry ice generators and vaccine packing line. Storeman’s office, change room, receiving and dispatch areas. This fast-paced project was completed in under 12 months.
